Ghousia Pre University College was started in the year 2022. It is Owned and Managed by Ghousia Industrial & Engineering Trust (GIET), Bangalore and is a unit of Al-Ameen Movement. The College is recognised by Government of Karnataka and Department of PUE, Karnataka. The College is situated in Ghousia College of Engineering campus on an expanse of 35 acres of land, about 45 KMs from Bengaluru on the Bengaluru-Mysore National Highway 275. It offers PUC courses in the following streams. English as the first language while Kannada, Hindi and Urdu optional languages.
Ghousia PU College, located in Vijaya Nagar near the SH-17 highway in Ramanagara, is a co-educational institution offering both Science and Commerce streams for 1st and 2nd PUC. Its convenient location provides easy access to students from Ramanagara town and surrounding areas, while its calm environment supports focused and disciplined learning. Ramanagara, known for its silk production—often called the “Silk City” of Karnataka—, has a rich cultural and economic heritage. The town is also famous for its rugged hill formations, making it a place where tradition, natural beauty, and modern education blend seamlessly.
As part of the well-established Ghousia group of educational institutions, Ghousia PU College benefits from a strong academic foundation, experienced leadership, and quality infrastructure. The Science stream is supported by well-equipped laboratories that promote hands-on experimentation, while the Commerce stream focuses on practical learning and building strong analytical and business skills. At the pre-university stage, students begin engaging with more advanced subjects, competitive exam preparation, and concept-based learning. A well-maintained library provides them access to textbooks, reference books, question banks, study materials, and academic journals that strengthen their understanding beyond classroom teaching. Chemistry Laboratory: The Chemistry Laboratory is an essential component of PU education, offering students a practical environment to explore the foundational principles of chemistry. Concepts such as chemical reactions, acids and bases, oxidation and reduction, qualitative analysis, and quantitative estimation become clearer when students observe them firsthand. By performing experiments, they understand the behavior of substances, learn how reactions occur, and develop a deeper appreciation for the subject beyond textbooks. The laboratory experience brings chemistry to life and makes learning interactive, engaging, and experiential.
Working in the Chemistry Lab equips PU students with important scientific skills such as accurate measurement, careful observation, data recording, and logical reasoning. Students learn to use laboratory apparatus like burettes, pipettes, crucibles, test tubes, and analytical balances with precision. They also learn systematic procedures such as titration, salt analysis, and preparation of standard solutions. These skills build confidence and prepare them effectively for board practical examinations and higher studies in fields such as engineering, medicine, pharmacy, biotechnology, and pure sciences.

Biology Laboratory: The Biology Laboratory plays a vital role in helping PU students understand the living world through direct observation and practical exploration. Biology at the pre-university level involves studying cells, tissues, organisms, and life processes, which become more meaningful when students examine them through microscopes and laboratory experiments. By observing slides, dissecting specimens, and conducting practical activities, students can visualize structures and functions that are otherwise difficult to grasp from textbooks alone. This hands-on experience deepens their understanding and builds a strong conceptual foundation.
In the Biology Lab, students develop essential scientific skills such as careful observation, accurate drawing, systematic recording, and analytical interpretation. They learn to use laboratory instruments like microscopes, microtomes, slides, and biological models with confidence. Practical sessions include activities such as preparing temporary slides, studying plant and animal tissues, identifying specimens, performing physiological experiments, and understanding ecological principles. These experiences prepare students effectively for board practical examinations and open pathways for higher studies in medicine, nursing, biotechnology, agriculture, microbiology, and life sciences.
